Raids led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Narela) Ajay Arora were conducted in the said units located in the Bawana Industrial area on a tip-off provided by the NGO, the NGO claimed.

"All the rescued children belong to poor families and were brought to Delhi by their relatives on the pretext of getting employment before being forced into labour," a statement issued by the NGO said.

The rescued children, aged between 8 to 15 years, belong to villages in Uttar Pradesh.

A 10-year-old girl, who was rescued during the operation, said she was in Class IV when she was brought to Delhi for a job.
