19 child labourers saved in Delhi

Nineteen minors, working in hazardous sticker factories, were on Tuesday rescued from Kanjhaola area of north-west Delhi, an NGO working for children said.

Nineteen minors, working in hazardous sticker factories, were on Tuesday rescued from Kanjhaola area of north-west Delhi, an NGO working for children said.

The child labourers rescued were from Bihar and UP and most of them were trafficked from their native villages by middlemen, Bachpan Bachao Andolan chairman RS Chaurasia said.

Acting on a complaint filed by the NGO, SDM Saraswati Vihar, Ajay Kumar, and labour department district task force and police, raided several places in Anandpur Gaon, Kurala and Madanpur Dabas.
