A city court has sentenced two youths to life imprisonment for stabbing to death one person and critically injuring two others after a fight among them over beating up of a child of the victims’ family.
Additional sessions judge NK Kaushik also imposed a fine of R16,000 each on Kshitiz Kumar and Deepak of Sagarpur in west Delhi for stabbing to death their neighbour Feroz Hussain and injuring his brother Shabbir and Shamshad, besides two others.
“The fine, if realised, be paid as compensation to the injured and legal heirs of the deceased, in equal proportion,” the court said.
While convicting the duo, the court also rued that their third accomplice escaped from police custody from a hospital where he had been undergoing treatment after his arrest.
