With colleges failing to fill their mandated 27 % OBC quota, Delhi University on Monday ordered them to lower by as much as required the cut-off marks for the category and not convert any of the reserved seats to general category.

In a fresh notification, the University administration asked its colleges to come up with two more cut-off lists exclusively for OBC students on August 9 and August 11 respectively.
The colleges have also been asked to completely do away with the 10 % lowering limit as compared to general cut-offs, for OBC students, a move aimed at allowing OBC category students to get seats in the colleges.
"The requirement that OBC candidates must score within 10 % of the cut-off marks for the general category no longer applies," the notification said.
