2-year-old undergoes 4th surgery

The two-year-old battered baby admitted at AIIMS underwent another surgery to drain out the fluid accumulating in her brain on Tuesday. It was the fourth surgery in the past 28 days that the doctors had to perform to save her life. HT reports.

The two-year-old battered baby admitted at AIIMS underwent another surgery to drain out the fluid accumulating in her brain on Tuesday. It was the fourth surgery in the past 28 days that the doctors had to perform to save her life.

According to the doctors, the surgery was conducted to bring down the level of brain infection. "With the kind of damage she has suffered, even if she survives, there are high chances that she will not be a normal child," said the doctor.

The baby, however, continues to remain on ventilator as she is finding hard to breathe on her own.
