Inspired by Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement, a 28-year-old man from Ranchi tried to meet Members of Parliament in the Parliament house itself. But he was caught at gate No. 8 of Parliament in this misguided attempt.

The man, identified as Anil Kumar, had stayed in Hazare's native village Ralegan Siddhi for three days before coming to Delhi.
Around 1pm, Kumar reached gate No. 8 of Parliament, where the security personnel stopped him and asked for his pass. "Instead of showing the pass, he started shouting that he wanted to meet the MPs. When he was stopped, he assaulted the security personnel," a senior police officer said.
Kumar was brought to the Parliament Street police station. "During interrogation, he told us that he was inspired by Hazare. He appears to be mentally challenged," the officer added.
Till late evening, no case had been registered against him as the Delhi Police were waiting for a formal complaint from Parliament staff. "We will book him under IPC Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty)," he added.
