Three flights headed for Lucknow were diverted to Delhi today due to bad weather conditions in the Uttar Pradesh capital. Kingfisher's Mumbai-Lucknow flight (IT3169) was diverted to IGI airport due to bad weather conditions there, an airport official said.

Similarly, two Delhi-Lucknow flights -- one Jet Airways and the other Kingfisher -- had to return to the IGI airport as poor visibility due to fog prevented them from landing there, he said.
Though IGI airport also witnessed fog this morning, but there was no diversions, cancellations or rescheduling of flights, the official said. Foggy conditions forced the airport authorities to implement low visibility procedures between 6.13 AM and 11.30 AM on third runway and from 7.30 AM to 11.30 AM on the main runway.
During this period, a total of 179 flights operated under various category, of which 136 operated with CAT-I instrument landing system while 43 with CAT-II, the official said.
