52-yr-old delivers male triplets

A 52-year-old woman delivered male triplets in a Faridabad private hospital a few days ago. “The woman is from a rural background and was admitted to our hospital last week,” said Dr Anita Kant, head of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences.

“She was in her 30th week of pregnancy and delivered the babies 10 weeks before the due date,” Kant said. The first baby weighed 1.47kg at birth while the second and third babies weighed 1.28kg and 1.64kg respectively.

“She had high BP and liver problems due to age. The babies were suffering inside her womb, so we decided to go for an emergency delivery,” Kant said.
