The director-general of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has taken a serious view of the incident in which nine under-training recruits of the force were arrested on charges of molesting NCC girl cadets from the northeastern states.
All the arrested under-training recruits have been suspended and their services are likely to be terminated by the authorities.
Director general Arun Chaudhry has also instructed the training staff of the force to focus on maintaining good behaviour of the under-training jawans.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) had arrested nine Sashastra Seema Bal jawans at Mughalsarai junction in Chandauli district after the NCC girl cadets charged them with teasing and molestation on board the New Delhi-Guwahati Sampark Kranti Express.
The NCC cadets had come to Delhi for the Republic Day celebrations.
