Anti-gangrape protest: 9 arrested for India Gate violence

Nine people were arrested on charges of attempt to murder and rioting in connection with Sunday's violence at India Gate, police said on Monday.

Nine people were arrested on charges of attempt to murder and rioting in connection with Sunday's violence at India Gate, police said on Monday.

They were arrested in New Delhi on Sunday and produced before a local court which released them on bail.

They have been charged with attempt to murder, rioting and destruction of public property among other sections of IPC, police said.
