A security guard and a driver of a private security agency, employed for filling ATMs with cash, had fled with the cash van in Alaknanda in southeast Delhi on Friday afternoon.
The two had submitted fake identity papers to the agency and no police verification had been done.
“We have identified the security guard as Sandeep who is a resident of Meerut. He had given a fake identity of Sanjeev Kumar to get the job,” a senior police official said.
On Saturday, the police had released the photographs of the two while the security agency announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for anyone who helps in tracking them down.
