Charged with allowing construction of luxury houses on prime farmland acquired for industrial development, the Noida authority has woken up to industry needs. It is set to announce an industrial plot scheme and several other measures for city entrepreneurs.

Noida chairman Balwinder Kumar has conceded a demand of the Noida Entrepreneurs' Association and will soon float an industrial plot scheme. An NEA team led by its newly-elected president Vipin Malhan met the chairman and gave a 17-point charter of demands.
"The chairman has promised to float the scheme next month," said Malhan. Authority has also agreed to lift restrictions on setting up of mobile towers on industrial buildings. "Earlier the authority had sent lease deed cancellation notices on units with mobile towers atop them," said Malhan. The chairman has also agreed to construction of underground parking in industrial sectors.
