The budget session of the Delhi government will start from Monday. Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit will present the budget.

A resolution will be tabled in the House asking for an increase in the funds for the Members of Legislative Assembly from Rs 4 crore to Rs 8 crore, citing rise in prices of building material and cost of labour.
However, despite a resolution being moved by the MLAs on price rise there will be no discussion on the issue in the session, which will continue till June 6. The opposition may corner the government on issues such as unauthorised colonies, cleaning of drains and MCD trifurcation. Law and order situation will also be discussed.
