Demands for Centre’s intervention to stop communal violence in Orissa and a ban on the Bajrang Dal, are likely to figure Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil is expected to brief the cabinet on the situation in Orissa. Railways Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav had spoken of banning the Bajrang Dal and highlighted the Centre’s powers to dismiss a state government in the face of continued violence.
