The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Saturday replaced its Delhi unit in-charge GC Dinkar after party candidates who contested the recently concluded assembly elections, complained of lack of support from him during campaigning.

The party leadership today named C.P.Singh, its candidate from the Kondli seat, and Dhaniram Singh, a leader from Uttar Pradesh, to lead the party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls in Delhi.
According to senior BSP leaders, changes have been made on the basis of inputs invited from the defeated candidates to identify the reasons behind the defeat. Candidates in their report alleged lack of support from the party during assembly polls in Delhi as one of the main reasons behind their poor performances.
Sources said candidates for the Lok Sabha elections would be declared in the next few days and party leadership wanted office bearers in Delhi to gear up and start preparing at the earliest.
While its vote share increased in the assembly elections, the BSP could win just two seats out of 70. After touching a base with Dalit and backward classes in Delhi, the party is now looking to pitch for Gujjar votes in the capital.
