The Chartered Accountant, who had allegedly killed his 33-years-old wife by strangulating her two days ago at their residence here, confessed before the police that he had murdered his wife in a fit of anger.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Summit Kumar said Rohit Pagare confessed that he had killed his wife Archana, a Commerce Ministry official, after a quarrel three days ago.
Police today produced Pagare in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Arun Kumar Singal, who granted two days police remand for Rohit for further investigation of the case.
According to Pagare, it was not a planned murder but happened suddenly when he hurt her following a fit of anger, Kumar said.
Pagare went to the market the next day and brought a briefcase where he hid the body and thrown it at a place near his residence, police said.
Archana's father Lt Col V S Triwedi said the relations between his daughter and the son-in-law were not smooth ever since they married in May 2004.
He said Rohit had even filed for a divorce which was subsequently withdrawn in September 2005.
