Three people received minor injuries in the incident at 2pm at a petrol station located 200 metres from 7 Race Course Road, the official residence of the Prime Minister.

The CNG cylinder inside a vehicle burst apparently due to excess pressure when it was being filled up, officials said.

A high alert was immediately sounded and police rushed to spot to ascertain the nature of the blast.
