CNG staff threaten stir

This time, employees of CNG filling stations across the Capital have threatened to go on strike from Sunday afternoon.

This time, employees of CNG filling stations across the Capital have threatened to go on strike from Sunday afternoon.

About 3,000 employees, who work on contract for CNG operators, are demanding that they be made permanent by IGL — the main supplier of CNG in the Capital.

If the strike happens, public transport services in the Capital would be severely affected.

The employees will also hold a demonstration at Dheerpur on Sunday afternoon.

An IGL spokesperson said they would ensure that services are not disrupted.
