The crowd went into a frenzy when Kanika Kapoor belted out hits like Da Da Dasse.

“When demonetisation was introduced, we had lost all appetite and sleep wondering how we would organise the fest. But standing up on the stage and seeing 15,000 people made all the stress worth it. I can safely say that we nailed it,” says Shambhavi Diggi, cultural secretary, students’ union of LSR.

Students from various colleges participated in the dancing competitions.

On the second day, students participated in Acapella - the inter-college western music competition, Mudra – classical dance competition, a treasure hunt by the society, pop culture quiz for pop enthusiasts, and more. DJ Anish Sood enthralled the crowd as he mixed popular tracks such as Closer.

Kenny Sebastian was a hit with the students.

The final day witnessed Nukkad – a street play competition, Battle of Bands, and Western dance competitions. The icing on the festive cake was standup comedy by Kenny Sebastian, and singer Lucky Ali’s performance. And the artists loved being in LSR just as much as the students did. “This is one of the most amazing crowds I’ve seen. The students were so excited that they crossed the barricades at one point,” Sebastian told HT City.

“I am very nervous about performing at the fest,” Ali told HT City before his performance. However, all that dissipated during his performance as he belted out hits like Hairat, O Sanam, and more. “This is the best gig we have performed,” he said, while addressing the crowd.
