A clash was reported between workers of two political parties over water problems in Sangam Vihar, southeast Delhi, on Sunday, police said. Four people were injured in the incident, police said.

The incident was reported Sunday night when some BJP and Congress workers clashed over the acute water problems in the area. Sangam Vihar is an unregularized colony in southeast Delhi and fights over water are common here.
“Some BJP workers were holding a demonstration to protest against the water and electricity problems. A Congress function was underway nearby. There was some argument and workers of both parties clashed with each other,” said Virendra Singh Chail, additional commissioner of police (southeast).
Police said they have registered cases under the relevant sections at Sangam Vihar.
“We are investigating into the case. So far no one has been arrested. We will catch the accused soon,” said the officer. Police said they have identified few people.
