"The names of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, her cabinet colleagues and certain three-time as well two-time MLAs have been shortlisted by the CEC in a meeting held this morning," sources told PTI.

"The main criteria for selection of candidates is their winning capacity. The party is confident that those selected for the contest will be able to retain their seats this time too," the sources added.

The names will be declared after the festival of light, which falls on this Tuesday, they said.

Meanwhile, the Screening Committee of the Congress is meeting again to discuss the names for the remaining constituencies.

The Screening Committee is chaired by All-India Congress Committee general secretary Mohsina Kidwai and has AICC general secretaries Ashok Gehlot, Jagmeet Brar and B K Hariprasad as it members besides Dikshit and Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President J P Agarwal.
