Zameer Khan threatened his wife Shabbo Begum to either divorce him or kill her paramour when he got to know about her affair with Salim, 25. She chose the latter and the two are now behind the bars.

On June 17, Shabbo lured Salim to visit her house on the pretext that her husband was not home.

"After Salim came, Khan, who was hiding in the bathroom, stabbed him. Shabbo also took out a knife from under the mattress and slit his neck. They then cut his body in pieces and stuffed in two gunny bags. Khan then dumped both the bags in a forest adjoining the Indirapuram area in Ghaziabad," Sanjay Jain, DCP (northeast) said.

The arrest came after victim's father filed a missing complaint at Seema Puri police station on June 17. The victim was a readymade garments trader.

After the arrest of Zameer Khan and Shabbo Begum, mutilated remains of Salim's body were recovered from a forest adjoining the Indirapuram area in Ghaziabad.

"Soon they started talking to each other on phone. She asked her husband to rent a portion of the house to him as a storehouse. He used to meet him whenever Khan was out of the house," Jain added.
