The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought the response of the husband of Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor in a case against him for not vacating a rented property in New Delhi after expiry of the lease.

Justice Manmohan issued notice to Sona Kayo Steering Systems, owned by Sanjay Kapur, Karishma's husband, and asked for the reply by Nov 25.
The court was hearing the plea of 83-year-old Narinder Singh Sarila, a retired Indian Foreign Service Officer who has rented out his Vasant Vihar property to Kapoor in 2003.
"We rented out the house to Kapoors since 2003 and the lease agreement was extended after every three years but now we want them to evict the house," said advocate Sanjeev Behl appearing for Sarila.
The rent lease expired in August 2009.
In his plea, Sarila said as he suffers numerous health problems, he needs the house back so he can live there now.
