Following the deaths of 23 cows after consuming waste material lying near Meerut-Road industrial area alongside the NH-58, an FIR has been lodged against three contractors — responsible for disposing scrap — and two companies, Dabur India limited and Hamdard Wakf Laboratories.

Senior Superintendent of Police L. Ravi Kumar said a case has been lodged at Sihani-Gate police station by cattle owner Dhyan Singh, a resident of Sarvodaya Nagar under Vijay Nagar police station.
The FIR names owners of Hamdard, owners of Dabur and three contractors — Sachin Kumar Dubey, Satish Agnihotri and Satish Kaushik.
The officials of Dabur India Limited have, meanwhile, termed the allegations baseless.
“We have assigned the job of disposing off scrap to the contractors who dispose off waste as per the law of the land. We do not have any plant in Ghaziabad area. We are extending our full support to the local administration and police. It is some mischief created to malign the image of the company,” a Dabur India Limited official said.
The officials of Hamdard Wakf Laboratories situated at Meerut Road Industrial area could not be contacted for their comment.
