Five members of Garg household, a Tri Nagar based family were killed in the wee hours of Friday, reports Vijaita Singh.

Tanvi, his daughter, could have been alive today. She would probably be at her animation class now. Or working at the computer he bought her two months ago. Over breakfast, she might have shared her career plans for the umpteenth time… The 18-year-old wanted to make cartoon films one day.

But Tanvi, her uncle Rakesh, aunt Uma and their sons Mukul and Radhey were all killed in the Tri Nagar car crash, in the wee hours of Friday.

"I was to attend that wedding with my brother's family," said an inconsolable Mukesh, "but Tanvi insisted on going. If only…"

Tanvi was quite a livewire. She was pursuing BA in English from Delhi University and had also enrolled for an animation course close to home. "She was good at making graphics and wanted to be a filmmaker. She wanted to go abroad to pursue her career," said Anita Garg, Tanvi's mother.

Just three weeks ago, the Garg household had been ringing with laughter when Rakesh and Uma celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Rakesh, a property dealer, also ran a provision store the Tri Nagar market. He was assisted by Mukul in the business while little Radhey was still in school. Rakesh's eldest child, Sangita, is married and his elder son Anshul, 22, studies in Himachal Pradesh.
