Delhi: 23-year-old designer nails obsessed lover

She had been receiving obscene messages on her official mobile phone in bulk every day for three months.

Her obsessed lover happened to be an employee in the company she works.

It was only after she confronted that colleague and he admitted to the crime that the victim lodged a complaint against him at the Rohini North police station.

A case under Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC was registered against the accused, identified as Shiv Bahadur, who works in the clerical branch of the shoe manufacturing company in Udyog Nagar. He has been arrested, police said.

The victim's complaint says that she started receiving obscene SMSes on her company mobile phone from August 1. "The contents of the SMS were indecent so she took it lightly. But, when he started sending her as many as 20 SMSes in a day that she got worried and told her parents and collegues. They advised her to lodge a police complaint and change her mobile number, which I could not as it was her official number," said the senior officer.
