A panic wave swept through Delhi's Patel Nagar Metro station on Sunday evening after a bomb threat call, officials said.

The entry and exit to the station on the busy Blue Line, which runs from Dwarka to Noida/Vaishali, were closed temporarily after an anonymous caller set the alarm bells ringing around 7:30pm, Delhi Metro public relations officer (PRO) Anuj Dayal told ANI.
Delhi Police and CISF conducted a joint search operation, and quite a few trains did not stop at the station as a precautionary measure. A clearance was given around 8:30pm, after which normalcy was restored.
"It was found to be a hoax call," CISF PRO Hemendra Singh told ANI.
Reports said initial investigation suggested the call was made from Daryaganj area in Old Delhi.
