Delhi discom bags national safety award

East-Delhi based power distributor, BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL), has bagged the 'National Safety Innovation Award 2010' for ensuring the safety of its consumers.

East-Delhi based power distributor, BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL), has bagged the 'National Safety Innovation Award 2010' for ensuring the safety of its consumers.

The Reliance-controlled BYPL is among a handful of electricity utilities in the country to have received the award instituted by the Safety and Quality Forum of the Institute of Engineers. The award will be formally presented to BYPL on December 28.

Delhi's second-largest power distributor, the North Delhi Power Limited, has been shortlisted for the Platts Global Energy Award in the US.
