A surveillance witness audit of Delhi Metro was recently conducted by the United Kingdom Accredition Service (UKAS), which said in its report that DMRC's housekeeping and operational controls are world-class.

The UKAS is the sole national accredition body recognised by the government to assess, against international agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.

"The fact that DMRC included occupational health and safety in an integrated management system is particularly laudable," UKAS auditor Andrew Marlow said.

He said, "DMRC's efforts on water harvesting and energy saving are a model for other big organisation to follow." Commenting on the report, DMRC CPRO Anuj Dayal said, "It is the management style which is unique. It is based on practical experience and experiences of its leaders. The credit goes to the managing director and entire DMRC team." Dayal said due to DMRC's standards, countries like Pakistan, Syria, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Vietnam have interacted with DMRC officials for metro systems.
