Delhi Police teams that are probing the three mutilated bodies found in south Delhi within a 10 km radius of each other in the last 10 days are comparing notes and sharing information to see if the three murders could be connected.

The modus operandi of all three killings seems identical, and though the cops have not confirmed a link between them, a frantic scan of missing reports of people between 30 and 40 years of age is on to discover the identity of the victims whose bodies were recovered from Munirka, Amar Colony and Sangam Vihar.

The one found in Sangam Vihar on December 2 was a man’s body that had been hacked into three parts. In all the three cases, police are yet to recover the murder weapon.

Officers probing the cases say that, prima facie, it appears that all the three were murdered elsewhere and their bodies dropped at the spots where they were found.

Another similarity, police say, is that the bodies were either naked or in their undergarments. But the police says it doesn’t want to jump to conclusions. “It is too early to say that the three murders are related. It looks like a coincidence. Our officers are working round the clock and will nab the culprits soon,” said joint commissioner of police, Dependra Pathak.
