Downpour triggers traffic pile-up

Flooding caused pile-ups on Ring Road, Nizamuddin bridge, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Bhairon Road, Pragati Maidan, Dhaula Kuan, Nehru Place, Shakti Nagar, Rohini, ISBT Kashmere Gate and Vikas Marg, near ITO, the traffic police said.

Besides, traffic jams were reported from Andrews Ganj, Mahipalpur, Hari Nagar, Adchini, Yusuf Sarai Market, Munirka flyover, Badarpur border, Wazirpur industrial area, Ashok Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, Mahipalpur, Brar square, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, Burari, Kashmere Gate, Rohini and Nangia Park underpass, Moolchand flyover, Ashram Chowk, Moti Bagh, Mehrauli, Modi Mills and Nehru Place and IIT Road.

Commuters had to face a harrowing time to reach their workplaces as vehicles remained stuck on roads for hours.

Waterlogging complaints were received from Civil Lines, Karol Bagh, Narela, Najafgarh, Saket, Malviya Nagar, RK Puram, Badarpur, Sarai Kale Khan, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Okhla and various other areas in the Capital.
