Eight post offices in the city were dedicated to the people on Monday by Union ministers of state Ajay Maken and Sachin Pilot under the postal department's Project Arrow.

Maken and Pilot inaugurated the modernised post offices from Andrews Ganj, one of the eight selected post offices. The other seven post offices — at Delhi Cantt, RK Puram, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Patel Nagar, South Avenue and SRT Nagar — were inaugurated through a video link, said an official spokesperson.
The post offices covered under the project have a single-window service system, reducing the wait-time for customers. These modernised post offices are equipped with broadband connectivity to provide web-based services such as e-money order, Western Union money transfer, instant money order, e-post.
Only those employees who have been imparted training in soft skills and IT, are posted at these locations.
