For the first time ever, the corporation has planned to spend Rs 50 crore on villages in Najafgarh and nearby areas, which constitute a major portion of its voters.
The allocation of funds has already started being discussed. On Friday, when the chairman of all the four zones of the corporation presented their budget, they demanded Rs 2 crore per village for building drains and Rs 1.5 crore for the streetlights.
According to the proposals presented, a sports complex will be built at Ghooman Kheda and a mini stadium at Kakrola.
