Faridabad: Minor rescued from borewell

The four-year-old girl who had fallen into a 22-feet borewell was finally rescued safe and sound on Thursday. The rescue operation, involving district administration, police and army jawans, took more than nine hours. Prabhu Razdan reports.

The district administration filed an FIR against the owner of the borewell for leaving it uncovered.

Tanu, 4, had slipped into the borewell while playing with some children on Wednesday afternoon at Balai village in Palwal district.

She was taken out of the pit around 12:50am on Thursday.
