Fire engulfs central Delhi building

The fire broke out on the third floor of Gopal Bhavan in Rajendra Place, which was later controlled by the fire brigade officials in about an hour.

A fire broke out in a multi-storey building in central Delhi this afternoon, fire brigade officials said.

The blaze was reported from the third floor of Gopal Bhavan in Rajendra Place at 12:35 pm and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire, they said.

The fire fighters managed to control the fire in about an hour, they added.
