The incident took place near the Delhi-Badarpur border when a mud-pile caved in on the workers during digging work.

"At least five labourers were buried under the pile. One man was taken out from the heap of mud and rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Centre. He is in a critical condition. We are trying to rescue the others also," a police officer said.
