With constituent states of the National Capital Region (NCR), Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and UP, notifying the reciprocal common transport agreement, taxis and auto-rickshaws registered in any of these states can now move freely within the NCR.

According to senior transport officials, people can now hire taxis and autos from the airport, railway stations and inter-state bus stops in Delhi for Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Bahadurgarh. Officials said these vehicles, however, should conform to Euro III norms and use CNG fuel.
"There will be a common colour code and a logo for all contract carriage vehicles in the NCR. This agreement will ensure autos and taxis are not required to pay additional passenger tax or additional passenger road tax or any such permit charges while moving in NCR, if using specific colour code and logo," the official said.
