Manish Verma, a businessman, took a 90-minute nap in his car. So stuck was he on the Noida-Ghazipur road that he didn’t even have to think of starting ignition. “First I was angry and continuously honked, but then I realised that it was a futile exercise. So I slept,” he said.

Thursday too will be a bad day to venture out. All the major markets in the city, like Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, M-Block market Greater Kailash-1 and Lajpat Nagar will be up to their gills with last-minute shoppers. A repetition of the scene on your right is highly possible.
