Delhi Police on Monday arrested two persons — Padmesh and Sunil — who used to target farmhouses owned by foreigners and burgled costly items.

The arrest came during an investigation in a burglary that took place at Chaudhry Farm house, which was being leased out to a foreign mission.
Inspection of scene of crime did not indicate any forceful entry but the house was totally ransacked.
On further inspection, the police found that only those items were stolen which could easily be sold in the market.
“Their modus operandi was to steal only those valuable items that are easy to carry and have good demand in the market. Other members of the gang have been identified and they would be arrested soon,” AK Ojha, DCP (southwest) said.
During investigation the police found that the gang resorted to similar modus operandi earlier and were out on bail. They also targeted the residence of an aircraft engineer of a foreign airlines in Pushpanjali area.
The police have recovered LCD screens, credit cards, laptops, hard discs and euro coins from their possession.
