NEW DELHI: The Delhi government on Monday decided to withdraw the notification by the trade and taxes department, prescribing a new form, Delhi Sugam-1 (DS-1).

The notification, which was to become effective from June 1, prescribed to make it mandatory for traders to provide prior information about all goods being sent outside the national capital.
The decision was taken after Delhi traders met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday and raised their concerns about the order.
In a statement on Sunday, the Confederation of All-India Traders (CAIT), the leading lobby for small traders, had said that the city traders would be forced either to shut their shops or shift their businesses to neighbouring states because of the manner in which the government treated them.
