Besides some top corporate honchos, this group includes cricketer Lala Amarnath’s daughter-in-law Shaarda, youngest son Rajender’s wife.

This will be their second trip to Chandigarh. Inspired by Hindustan Times’ “Gurgaon Collapsing” campaign, a busload of DLF City residents, including CEOs and cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s mother Shabnam, had gone to Chandigarh to attend the fourth hearing at Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice T.S. Thakur’s court on October 3.

“We will start early on Friday.... Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam is in Chandigarh, so we are going to request her to join us there,” said Ambika Agarwal, a resident of DLF City-I.

DLF City Resident Welfare Association and other resident bodies had filed a petition against the Haryana government in November 2007. They had protested dumping of garbage near DLF City by the Haryana Urban Development Authority and Gurgaon Municipal Corporation.
