Shocked at the revelation that Vikas Yadav had visited premier hospitals 87 times while in jail, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked Tihar authorities to produce his medical records.

The court was informed of the fact by Neelam Katara, the mother of Nitish Katara, who was murdered by Yadav.
Yadav is serving a life term in the Nitish Katara murder case.
Two benches of justices Gita Mittal and VK Shali said, “The jail superintendent is hereby directed to produce all relevant medical records of convict Vikas Yadav.”
The court will hear the matter again on Thursday.
"The jail superintendent is also directed to file a report as to whether other inmates have also been permitted to visit hospitals like Vikas Yadav,” it said.
The court, meanwhile, also issued notices to Delhi Police and others on some cross appeals against the order of trial court awarding life imprisonment to Yadav, son of controversial Uttar Pradesh politician DP Yadav, and his cousin Vishal Yadav in 2008.
