Heroin worth Rs 1.5 cr seized; 3 arrested in Delhi

Three persons were arrested in the national capital for allegedly possessing 1.5 kg of heroin with a street value of Rs 1.5 crore, police said on Wednesday.

The arrested were identified as Sanjiv Dixit (36), Rajinder Paditar (22) and Omkar Lal (40).

The arrest came following investigations into the Crime Branch's Narcotics Wing receiving a tip off that Dixit, who is residing in Ghaziabad, was allegedly running a drug racket.

He was receiving supplies from Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh and supplying the same to retailers in trans-Yamuna area and Ghaziabad, police said.

A watch was kept on his activities for the last one month and a specific information was received that a bulk supply will be received by him at ISBT Anand Vihar, they said.
