Meanwhile, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has prevailed upon Haryana Roadways to increase the the frequency of the feeder service up to Badarpur metro station.

“DMRC officials visited our office a few days ago and suggested that Haryana Roadways increase the frequency of the feeder service at Badarpur metro station,” said Sanjay Joon, general manager, Haryana Roadways, Faridabad.

“DMRC also offered us parking space outside Badarpur metro station,” he said. “We are devising plans to increase the feeder service up to Badarpur metro station from different parts of Faridabad, for the convenience of commuters.”

Haryana Roadways, Faridabad has recently acquired 60 new buses under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Scheme. “I am going to Faridabad next week to take stock of this facility and how we can improve it,” Keshni Anand Arora, principal secretary, transport, Haryana Government, told HT.

Haryana Roadways officials had earlier claimed that sectors covered by the feeder service included Sector-7, Ballabhgarh, Sector-55, Sector-29, Hardware Chowk area and other sectors.

“The problem is the buses go empty up to Badarpur metro station and return packed,” said Joon. He added, “We have to devise a plan to ensure buses go packed from Faridabad up to the metro station.”
