HT's Amitava 'Goldie' Guha passes away

Amitava Guha, a dear colleague and a much valued member of the Hindustan Times family, passed away on Friday morning. He was 56 and is survived by his wife Jyoti and daughter Angarika.

Known to friends and family as Goldie, he was Associate Vice President, Media Marketing, Hindustan Times Media Limited. Guha started his career in Kolkata with the Ananda Bazar Patrika group after which he worked in several advertising agencies. He returned to the media in 1986 when he joined the Times of India.

He joined Hindustan Times in 1992 as Advertising Manager.

Goldie went to school in Asansol and graduated from St Xavier's College, Kolkata. He was known for his passion for music.
