A two-member team of the Income Tax (I-T) department from Chennai questioned former jailed telecom minister A Raja in the Tihar Jail on Wednesday in connection with the 2G scam.

“The team is expected to question Raja on financial documents and transaction details that the I-T investigation cell of Chennai had taken in possession during a raid at his residence,” source said.

Based on an application seeking permission, special CBI Judge O P Saini gave permission to the I-T department to question Raja and the six others, currently lodged in the Tihar Jail.
