A 42-year-old executive of Indian Oil was abducted in his own car on Wednesday night by two robbers on a bike. They drove him around for two hours before fleeing with his money.
Police said the robbers were following Ashish Kumar, who was on his way home in Sarita Vihar from his Gurgaon office, from the Kalindi Kunj flyover around 10pm on Wednesday.
"At the H-block market, the two men asked Kumar to stop his car. Then one of them walked towards the car and started shouting at him. As he rolled down the window to hear better, the robber pulled out a gun and entered the car," said a senior police officer.
The accused drove the victim around in his car and snatched all his cash and other valuables. His accomplice was following the car on his motorcycle, police said.
"The robber then took Kumar's ATM card and PIN and drove to a mall at Jasolla Vihar. The second robber went and took out R50,000 from the card," the officer added. Kumar told the police he didn't exactly know how much money they had withdrawn.
The robbers then asked Kumar to call his friend for more money. But when he told them that his friend won't have much money with him, they made him call his wife at his Sarita Vihar home. They told Kumar to tell his wife that he had met with an accident and that he was sending a friend to collect the money.

{{/usCountry}}"One of the robbers went to his house and got R31,000 from his wife,' the officer added. Police said the robbers then dropped Kumar in A block, Sarita Vihar, and fled on their motorcycle.
A case of robbery and abduction has been registered at Sarita Vihar police station.
