Jamia awards 4,294 degrees

At the university’s annual convocation, deans of every department awarded degrees and diplomas to the students. A total of 4,294 degrees were given to students across the 36 departments for the successful completion of their post-graduation, under-graduation and diplomas, during the academic year 2009-10.

The university also awarded 155 gold medals to toppers of different courses. “In all of Jamia’s 91 years we have witnessed many sacrifices and achievements. But more importantly, we are at the threshold of another renaissance today,” said Najeeb Jung, vice-chancellor, also disclosing several development initiatives of the university.
