Jundal asked LeT to compensate Muslim victims

Arrested 26/11 handler Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal took on top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Muzammil in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), over Indian Muslims being killed in the Mumbai terrorist attacks and demanded the group pay compensation to their families, revealed top government sources.

Over 23 Muslims had died in the 2008 attacks directed by a LeT-ISI control room set up in Qaidabad, Karachi.The sources said Jundal had also disclosed during his interrogation that Muzammil brushed aside his demands by saying the victims were all Indians.

It is perhaps for this reason Jundal has a low opinion of Muzammil as compared to LeT chief operational commander Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi.

He revealed that the Pakistan government could not take action against LeT as the organisation was present in each district and tehsil with more than 2,50,000 donation boxes across the country.

Jundal barely speaks English and learned to write Urdu in Pakistan.

While security agencies have already started to take action against Indian Lashkar jihadists identified by Jundal, the prime accused has confirmed the presence of fellow 2006 Aurangabad arms haul accused Fayyaz Kagzi in Jeddah and said Indian LeT recruits like Masood Azhar, Ijaz Sheikh, Lal Baba, Aslam Kashmiri and 7/11 attack accused Attarur Rehman Rahil Sheikh were being given shelter in Karachi.

He also knew Khaja aka Amjad (arrested in 2010), late Hyderabad jihadist Shahid Bilal and incarcerated Riyazuddin Nasir.

Jundal has told his interrogators that LeT had identified Nashik Police Academy for attack after the group suspected an Indian hand in the Pakistan Police Academy strike in March 2009.

He has identified LeT as the group responsible for 2005 IISc attack and 2008 strike at Rampur CRPF camp.

The jihadist has pin-pointed locations of residences of those present in the 26/11 control room with detailed description on Lashkar's Muridke headquarters near Lahore.

For instance, 26/11 main planner Sajjid Mir lives near Adiala Jail and top LeT commander Abdul Aziz alias Rehan lives in Rawalpindi.
