"Whatever the result, it is subject to the final decision of the high court," Congress spokesman Manish Tewari told reporters.
He added that the BJP government had promoted corruption and institutionalised fundamentalism in the state.
Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Thursday won the second confidence motion in the state assembly with his party crossing the half-way mark of 105 by one vote.
